Just caught my eye

We're more pirate fans than dog fans (I do like dogs and would like a pug someday
(rest in peace Mona!)), but this picture just made me smile.

Want to see something crazy....

Our cousins Jeff, Kairsee, Nathan, and Carissa went to a Rivercats game. They learned my secret, I'm a Rivercats River Dancer on the side.

NO, not really, but man does this gal really look like me. Isn't it crazy!

Happy Happy Birthday to you, to you...

It's a birthday song on Sprout that gets stuck in all of our heads! So we had a variety of fun for Josh's birthday. It actually felt like a birthday week we had a small kids party on Wednesday, Josh's close friend Chloe had her birthday party on Thursday, we had our family party on Friday, and then our nation's birthday on Saturday! Whew! We were busy.

The kids party of course, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle themed. We had it at a pizza place, since turtles love pizza. We had turtle masks, turtle toys to play with, and a pin the mask on the turtle game. We had to be creative since TMNT is phasing out.

Josh on his birthday morning in his new Donatello shirt.

Of course Ninja Turtle cupcakes. The turtles were just made from fondent.

His turtle friends!

Next was the family party. Which of course, he made out like a bandit. I don't know if there are even any turtles left that he doesn't own. His collection has possibly surpassed his uncles.
We had our families over for the FIRST birthday celebration in our own home. It was great. We had room for everyone.

Birthday breakfast
Parker enjoyed the decorations.

We went bowling for a birthday activity. It was Parker's first time. He loved it of course.

And we had to play pin the mask on the turtle.

Overall I think it was a fun week. Josh is such an appreciative child. He thanked me for decorating, making him breakfast, for his new toys, and was so excited about every gift he received. We are grateful to have such a thoughtful boy in our family.

Happy Birthday Joshie!

We couldn't be more grateful for Josh! He is kind and thoughtful, a fantastic big brother, a good listener, likes to tell mostly funny jokes, always shows us how much we are loved, and makes life more special because he's part of our family. We have and will be celebrating through the weekend so... more fun photos to come.

Elder Mills

My brother in-law,Jordan, is serving a mission for our church in Uruguay. He sent quite a few pictures to his mom this week. Here are just a couple. He good, happy and healthy! I'm glad he's enjoying is time serving the Lord.

Parkie Sparkston

That is one of Josh's nicknames for Parker. Parker wants to be just like his brother, which means even wearing his underwear when he sleeps.

This is Parker in Josh's Lowe's gear when we go to do wood-working projects. Just wants to be like the big bro.
