Today Josh graduated from preschool
All the kid's had a flower with their height measured on the stems.
Josh was officially the tallest kid 46 1/4 inches. He is happy to be tall, especially since he is one of the youngest. When the other kids say they're 5, he responds with "Well I'm still tall."
Here are just some of "the guys."
Christian, Caleb, Josh, Cole, and William
Their class had 8 boys and they all had fun playing together.
It cracked me up how the boys all started to get interested in each others favorite things.
Christian and Evan love Batman, Caleb loves any kind of superhero (often he showed up to preschool in costume), Cole loves Scooby Doo, and William like Cars. Of course everyone knows Josh loves Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Even his teachers pointed out that many share days he brought some kind of TMNT action figure because it fit with the letter they were working on D- Donatello, A- April O'Neil, etc...
Ms. Danai and Ms. Jill talked about each child as they received their certificate.
If you notice Ms. Jill is wearing her TMNT shirt Josh made for her as a going away gift.
Grandma and Grandpa came to support Josh. We are so lucky to have them near. It made Josh feel special that they were there.
I am so pleased with all the progress Josh has made in preschool. He started out extremely nervous, crying when I dropped him off and uneasy about being away from his mom. Overtime that has changed. Now most days he jumps out of the car without me and tells me he can go alone. He has learned so much from these wonderful teachers. He has also made some really dear friends. We are so grateful to have frequent play-dates with many of them.
As a total bonus, Uncle Chad is visiting with us for a month. So he came to support Josh also.
Ms. Danai is amazing. She is a wonderful, patient teacher, who cares and loves each child. She has the best activities that keep the kids interested and learning at the same time. She has taught Josh things that I had not thought to teach him. In class they have job assignments. This has helped him learn more about responsibility and working with others. I am grateful for Ms. Danai and how much she has helped prepare Josh for Kindergarten.
Ms. Jill has an amazing way of loving all children. She hugs and loves these kids with all her heart. She could barely talk about graduation without tears coming to her eyes. On days when Josh was sad to see me go, she'd scoop him up and off they went. The tears never lasted long, sometimes he didn't even want to leave when it was time. I am so thankful for her kindness towards Josh. (She is also a mother of 5, all boys!)
Over two years these woman have become an important part of our week. I couldn't have asked for better teachers.
Oh and not to be forgotten.... Parker was there too. He played in the sandbox during the ceremony. Watch out Ms. Danai and Ms. Jill, he's all yours in August!
This is our nephew Ethan. Isn't he darling! I could just swaddle him up and kiss his sweet face. The boys were just talking today about how fun it will be when "baby Ethan gets big." Until then I'll enjoy holding him whenever I get the chance.

It was a beautiful day, probably the best of all the days we were there.
We took the ferry from Playa del Camen to Cozumel
The water was amazingly clear and warm! It made you want to jump in.
We walked through some shopping centers along the shore.
After asking around we decided to head up to Chankanaab Park where we did a variety of activities in one location.

Kairsee and I joked about getting our men matching outfits for our trip. Who knew that they would end up matching all on their own!
We watched a Sea Lion show. He was so darling! It was a small stage, so he was pretty close up. He was trained well.

Later that day, after some serious games of Settler's of Catan, we had a tasty dinner at the Japanese Restaurant. The men decided to retire to the room for some TV while Kairsee and I went for dessert & entertainment.
There was a Mexican celebration with dancers. The room was really dark so the pictures didn't turn out, but it was fun to watch. The women's skirts were beautiful and the man who did the lasso tricks was spectacular!
We thought we'd catch a picture with him before we left.
We went way out onto the water and there were some parts that were so clear. It was amazing.
I know it's blurry, but the guys make a good team.
Later we headed into Playa del Carmen to go to the market.
You can see it's a pretty busy area. Lots of people trying to sell their low quality items. Some of them cracked us up yelling, "Let me rip you off," or "come buy my junk, it's the same as everyone else."
This was one of the beaches we walked to while we were there.
