We'll Miss You Dorothy Zbornak!

I was sad to hear that Bea Arthur passed away this past Saturday at 86 years old. I just loved her in Golden Girls. I'll miss her humor.

Celebration Saturday.

This past Saturday I had two baby showers and a wedding to attend. It was a busy day for celebrating, but so much fun.

The wedding we attended was for David's friend Becky from the Nursing Program. Over the last couple years we have had the chance to get to know her and her husband Jesse. They had a beautiful ceremony and reception looking over Folsom Lake. His parents live way out past Pilot Hill. It was quite the drive, but well worth it. It was a gorgeous view and event!

Here are the official nurses, minus Becky (she was busy being the bride). From left to right Corinne, Stacy, Janelle, Lori (David's other close friend from the program), and of course Dave.

Just a quick shot before we left. We had a nice time out just the two of us. We'll take a date however we can get it.

It Official, Chad Comes Home June 23rd!

We received my brother's itinerary for when he arrives home from his church mission. He arrives here at 1:45 pm on June 23rd. I can't wait to see him. He hasn't seen Parker yet, so that will be fun!

Baby Sarah's Blessing

I posted awhile back when Sarah was born. She was a little miracle baby. Look at how beautiful she was on her blessing day.

These are her grandparents. Look at her dress, she is just a doll. Wish we could have been there.

Posts!

Well, I played a little catch up tonight. So, enjoy the multiple posts.

Easter, Easter, Easter!

This year's Easter picture

I gave a talk in my ward on Sunday and wasn't home before the kids went to church. I realized while I was on the stand that I didn't leave the camera for Dave. So, no Easter picture was taken. Then with the rushing around to get down to Sacramento for our festivities, clothes were changed and well, this was the photo we got. Shirtless boys. I hope you enjoy!

Then we have a neighbor that my boys have gotten to know and love. She is just wonderful. Well, she went out of her way to get my boys Easter baskets this year.

Oh man did they love them! Josh kept saying, "Wasn't that so nice of her mom!" He insisted on going right in and drawing her a picture. When he found out I was talking to her on Easter he said, "Mom, I need to tell her something." He talked to her and wanted to make sure she got his picture. He doesn't talk to just anyone on the phone. So, thank you Sharon for being so kind and always thinking of the boys!!!

We had a wonderful day on Easter. Since I spent some of the week preparing for my Easter talk at church, it was a wonderful reminder to me about the sacrifices the Savior made for us. I really felt like we enjoyed the fun festivities that come with Easter, but also spent time talking as a family about the real meaning of Easter. We are grateful for the life of the Savior and that he was resurrected. We know because of Him, we can be an eternal family.

We were also happy to spent time with both sides of our family on Easter. The boys got all kinds of toys and goodies, they thought it was pretty spectacular! Thank you everyone for a fun filled holiday.

Parker's First Hair Cut

This is how Parker gets a hair cut...

First he starts out in the chair

Then he works his way to the candy bowl

After that he sees if her little frog wants a candy bar

Then before you know it, Aunt Teri is all done!

He spent most the time on the counter, spraying us with a water bottle.
Thanks Aunt Teri for always being patient!

Happy Birthday to Us!

Since we were in San Diego for Dave's birthday, on my birthday Janell hosted a mini surprise party for us. Jeff and Dorene came over to join us. They decorated and had bought a wonderful fruit basket cake from Ettore's. It was a fun way to celebrate.

Then the Sunday after, we went to my parents to celebrate with them. Jared and Sam were in town also. So we enjoyed my mom's homemade pizza and opened gifts. It was a fun kicked back day.

Thanks everyone for the treats, cards, and well wishes. It was a great birthday!

Big Brother

David told Josh this weekend that he has to learn how to change diapers before we have another baby. Then when the baby comes it will be his responsibility to change all the diapers. Josh thought that was a pretty good idea, so last night after we got home from my parents be begged me to teach him how to change Parker's diaper. I told him I didn't think Parker would go for it. When we were getting ready for bed we decided give it a try. Josh opened the diaper up and Parker actually laid down for him. Then I talked him through it. It was just a wet one, so it wasn't hard to change. He did a great job! He was so proud of himself. Then he wanted to help him get his pj's on. So, he did. He need just a little assistance, but got him all dressed. What a brother!

Last week after a little surprise birthday celebration with Peter and Janell, Parker was sad to leave their house. So, he was screaming in the car. Dave and I were just trying to tune it out, literally by turning up the radio. Well after a minute we realized Josh was singing to Parker. He sang him Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars until he calmed down and then fell asleep. Josh said, "Mom I sang to him and made him feel better." What a brother. I couldn't be more grateful for my boys. They just brighten my day!

A few pictures that made me smile...

We had a wonderful vacation. Before our trip I declined an outing with my good friend Ruth because they were getting over colds and didn't want to risk it. Well serves me right! We got sick anyways. It didn't dampen our fun though, San Diego was wonderful. I will be posting a more detailed post about it (for family record), but all I ever look at are people's pictures. So, here are a few that were cute of my family.
