A great quote from Elder Holland
So this past year I joined our church book club. This is a new thing to me because I've never considered myself much of a reader. I do enjoy reading when I have a good book and the time. One of our upcoming reads is the book by Stephanie Nielsen, Heaven is Here. I decided to pick it up at the library and read it a couple months early. If you are not familiar with her, she is an LDS mother who was in a bad plane accident with her husband and friend. She was severely burned. Before her accident she was a popular "mommy" blogger. I enjoyed the book and it made me even more grateful for all I have.
In our church we have apostles. Stephanie had the opportunity to meet with one of them, Elder Holland. When they met he shared this with her.
"We look for Christ's scars because they are evidence of what He did for us. They'll be the first things He shows us when we see Him again. Your scars tell a story, too. Although they may not make you feel attractive, they are a witness of a miracle, that God blessed you to live, and that you have accomplished very difficult things."
I loved this quote as I thought of my sister in-law, Janell. Her body has been through so much this past year. I thought this was a beautiful way to look at the physical changes that have occurred. What a beautiful reminder that Heavenly Father and our Savior gave her a miracle. She is here, healthy, and with us! I am so thankful for heavenly reminders that help us realize how blessed we are.
(Michelle Mathis... if you read this I want to email with you! Can you leave me your email address in the comments?)

Janell is as beautiful as ever. As are you! NO ONE has a right to look that darn good after having a baby!
Please feel free to email me often. ;)
I live on my email so I will respond. :)
